Michael Lamm co-founded the U.S.-Israel Business Exchange in Washington, DC, when he was still a college student. This public/private initiative, whose network grew to include more than 3,000 businesses, was established out of the Embassy of Israel to accelerate the market entry and facilitate financing of Israeli technology companies in the Greater Washington, DC. region. Michael ran programs featuring distinguished public figures including Shimon Peres (former Prime Minister of Israel), Ed Mathias (Managing Director, The Carlyle Group), John Wall (President, NASDAQ International), Emanuel Friedman, (Former Chairman, Friedman, Billings Ramsey).
This early experience confirmed Michael’s desire to acquire the tools and knowledge to dedicate his career to helping business owners and management teams achieve their goals. He hasn’t looked back. Today, he is a founding partner of Corporate Advisory Solutions, a respected and fast growing merchant bank that supports a select group of clients out of offices located in Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
Just as Michael co-founded the U.S.-Israel Business Exchange due to deeply held conviction regarding his client companies, he brings the same level of belief and commitment to his clients at Corporate Advisory Solutions. From the firm’s earliest days, all efforts have been directed towards companies from the Outsourced Business Services sector, with singular focus concentrated on Accounts Receivable Management (ARM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Specialty Finance companies. While this level of specialization is driven by a strong belief regarding the importance of this business sector to the U.S. economy, it has also served to help Michael build up a superior skill set as an advisor to companies in this sector.
Although the firm isn’t even five years old, Michael, his partner Mark Russell and their team have successfully completed over 15 M&A transactions since its founding in 2013, an average of 3 to 5 company valuations each year, various CFPB compliance consultations and a number of market intelligence reports.
As a Managing Partner at Corporate Advisory Solutions, Michael oversees and executes on M&A engagements, investment opportunities, compliance/regulatory assessments, strategic consulting, valuation, expert witness litigation matters while also charting the firm’s corporate direction and strategic growth plan.
Michael is actively involved in leading industry associations including ACA (International Affiliate Board Member), Institute for Collection Leadership (ICL – Board Advisor), Risk Management Association (RMA), the Association for Corporate Growth – Philadelphia chapter (membership committee), the American University Alumni Association (chapter leader) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
He is committed to giving back to the M&A advisory community by frequently speaking at industry events on M&A and valuation trends. He is also a regular contributor to industry publications where he offers analysis, posts blogs and writes articles.
